Thanks entirely to this recent second Christmas of a deal I finally picked up Bioshock and am giving it a play through. Now you, Inconstant Reader, probably expect me to launch into some pseudo-thought-provoking analysis of the moral conundrum involving the Little Sisters, or to give the reigns to my inner philosopher who wants to debate the pros and cons of a Randian worldview. Though it may take all the will I can muster, I shall refrain from doing so. You can find a plethora of views on these subjects out there on the interwebs without my adding to the cacophony. Instead I’m going to discuss what’s interesting about coming to the game having already navigated said cacophony.
No real spoilers, but some talk about what spoilers - like honey - don’t spoil. Wrap your head around that one.

Two new patches have also been revealed. Jarlsberg promises to add something to do with “2000 AD.” Related to an upcoming content pack, perhaps? Finally, Stinking Bishop will be linked to an “Arcade Pack.” What that will include, we have no idea. But we can’t wait to find out. Obviously this is all internal data which may or may not come to fruition. Hopefully we’ll hear more in the near future.

Its Epic Justice Time! Its Karma comeuppance for Creationists day! There are few things in life that have such wide appeal as watching jerks fail!…………………………..These jerks started by 1)marking all my comments as spamI unmarked them(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXUtHtZTXnI)2)downthumbing all non-creationist comments, and upthumbing creationist comments (6+ times). I turned off the comment voting. (see above link)3)Vote bot attacks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V21dOI6NOshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRqeIXqux8A4)Flagging my videos as offensive. PSP has been following in the footsteps of its PS3 big brother for quite some time now. The latest trend it’s starting to pick up? DLC. Owners of the PS3 have become accustomed to purchasing post-release content through the PlayStation Store, and it appears PSP owners may follow suit.
Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? will feature a brand new downloadable level featuring cameos from another Nippon Ichi game, Phantom Brave. “Phantom Isle & Marona” is downloadable on the Japanese PlayStation Store for 300 yen ($3.30). See the video after the break.
Although Prinny hasn’t released in the US yet (it’s coming out February 17th), we’re certain NIS America will follow suit and charge for these extras. It’ll be interesting to see how PSP owners respond — will they be as eager to pay for DLC as PS3 owners?

Let’s talk about obvious things for a while. Bankruptcy sucks. That’s pretty obvious, right? DreamWave Comics was working on a comic based on the Killzone universe. However, it never saw the light of day due to the company’s financial meltdown.
The BBPS.com has some interesting images that were made before the company’s dismantling in 2005. To think, this comic would’ve been perfect to launch in tandem with the upcoming game (maybe as a Limited Edition bonus?). The quality of the art is staggering.
Too bad it’ll never come to fruition. With Killzone’s current fandom, we think hordes of players would’ve rushed to buy this comic. Isn’t that obvious?

These shots come from the game’s introductory sequence — maybe only the first five minutes or so — during which you can control Batman (move, zoom in on various things happening in the background) while the Joker is being processed. The fighting bits shown are just a prelude to some surprisingly deep gameplay we can’t wait to tell you more about.

In Onore no Shinzuru Michi wo Yuke, players create shadow clones in order to solve puzzles. How does it work? Watch the video and find out. It starts off rather simply, with a lone ninja pulling a switch. However, the switch activates something that needs attention at the same time. The ninja’s shadow clone replicates the actions of the first action, giving the second ninja time to act. But then, what if three things need to be done? Or four? That’s where things get interesting, folks.
While many PSP games fail to see an international release, we’re confident a publisher will pick up this rather intriguing game.

Attention virtual rockers, Neversoft has announced that the Guitar Hero World Tour drum set will finally be available as a standalone product beginning February 15. The drums will come at a price of $100 — $10 more than the Rock Band 2 drums — and will be available at Best Buy and GameStop. Unfortunately, this only applies to North America, as Neversoft notes the drums will arrive in Europe and Australia “at a later date.”
While the World Tour drums are more expensive than the base Rock Band 2 set, it’s worth noting that adding the cymbal expansions to Rock Band 2’s set makes them slightly more expensive. Taking a look at Amazon (with prices lower than retail), the Rock Band 2 set with a two cymbal expansion clocks in at $107.92.
Be sure to check out Joystiq’s Instrument Compatibility Matrix if you plan to pick up a set.
